Bass Unlimited Foundation Fins and Feathers Heritage Banquet
April 16, 2016 | Longview, TX
First I have to give a very big thank you to the National Wild Turkey Federation - East Texas Chapter for partnering with the North East Texas Chapter of Bass Unlimited for what we hoped to be a very successful banquet. With no disappointment it was a great banquet. This year was special for both chapters as NWTF-East Texas Chapter celebrated their 25th year of hosting and N.E.T. Bass Unlimited celebrated their 1st banquet in Texas. Everyone who attended had a great time. We shared a great dinner, games, raffles, silent auction and live auction. In regards to our live auction I have to give credit to Mr. Jared DuCote for donating his time and efforts towards our Texas state painting. His efforts were our highest selling item of the night. Again Thank You on behalf of the N.E.T. Chapter.
The banquet efforts will go towards Texas Parks and Wildlife projects like fish habitats, natural plant repopulation, fish stockings and bait recycle bins. It is through continued efforts of our members that we will continue to be successful. At the end of the night and after all necessary expenses counted for we were able to return a check to Bass Unlimited Foundation in the sum of $2,600.00. This is a remarkable effort on behalf of our community for a first time banquet. We are already working towards our next banquet which will be held in Longview, Texas sometime if February of 2017.
I must also make mention that we had great support from our founding members who traveled all the way from headquarters in Indiana to support the first banquet out of the headquarters area of operations. We would like to thank Wil and Carol Newlin of the Bass Unlimited Foundation for your continued support in Texas. Look for news and information on our projects and upcoming events. On behalf of the state of Texas and the North East Texas chapter of Bass Unlimited we would like to say thank you to each and every one of you who support Bass Unlimited and the continued efforts of making fishing better in Texas.
